About US

Anthony and Daniela are the proud owners of a dream come true called Platanos Venezuelan Food, a restaurant specialized in Venezuelan cuisine. They were both born and raised in a small town in Venezuela. From a very young age, both have worked hard and saved for years sharing dreams, goals and culinary passions; Passionate about Venezuelan food and culture. The story of the restaurant begins in the small city of El Vigía, Mérida state in Venezuela, located in the North of South of Latin America, where Anthony and Daniela grew up. There, he learned to cook typical and traditional dishes with his mothers and grandmothers. As time went by, he realized he wanted to share delicious Venezuelan food with the world. After emigrating to the United States, they undertook a new beginning in a country with a very rich and diverse culture, with a lot of effort and dedication, they finally managed to settle in the state of Indiana, loaded with dreams kept in a suitcase and one of them, in providing Americans with the best of Venezuelan cuisine.

Anthony and Daniela decided that it was time to make their dream come true, this is where Plátanos Venezuelan Food was born, created and designed by them, in addition to having the support of experts. In this restaurant, customers can enjoy authentic Venezuelan dishes prepared with fresh and tasty ingredients. From the crunchy patacones, empanadas, arepas and even the juicy tequeños, each bite is an explosion of flavor. Anthony and Daniela's vision is to share their love for food, in addition to offering a welcoming and family atmosphere where their guests can enjoy a delicious meal while immersing themselves in its flavors and getting to know a little about Venezuelan culture.
